Do Corporate Social Responsibility Categories Distinctly Influence Innovation? A Resource-Based Theory Perspective

Despite the existing vast literature on corporate social responsibility (CSR), there is a lack of research influences CSR categories (i.e., employees; suppliers, customers, and consumers; environment; welfare). The objective this paper to investigate distinct firm innovation from resource-based theory perspective. Based sample Chinese A-share listed firms 2010 2017, we find that employee-, supplier, customer, consumer-, environment-related promotes innovation, while society welfare-related reduces innovation.
